Lunch in St Tropez

Hi all
We are holidaying in Provence again this summer and planning a day trip to St Tropez for DD1's 18th birthday :T
Apparently the way to get there is by ferry from St Maxim and we would like a nice lunch when we are there. There will be a party of 10 (4 adults, 5 teenagers and a 9 year old) and want somewhere with lovely food but not too pricey. We all love French food / fresh fish and if I can email the restaurant in advance to book a table that would be great. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated

If you dont get any answers here, the Tripadvisor St Tropez forum would be a good place to find info.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

We stayed in Port Grimaud, driving anywhere along the stretch of road around St Tropez takes forever so the boat is a good idea.
however, a fantastic retaurant we found was in Grimaud, beautiful little town on top of a hill, and there is a tourist train that takes you there from Port Grimaud, pleasant little journey, and the restaurant is one of the first ones you come to when you get off the train, near the town square (you can park in the square i you decide to drive).
There are not many there anyway, but you cant miss it, it's the only one that is really busy:beer:. Lots of tables outside, and a really good menu, we were eating there every other day, as were many ex pats, and the cost was easily half that of lesser quality restaurants in and around St Tropez or Port Grimaud.
Had 3 kids with us, ranging from 17 to 12, and they all love the food.
Have misters under the canopy to keep you cool too.
I think you would have to go infirst to make a reservation, but it is really lovel. Quaint little town to walk around too. Similar to Gassin but tonnes cheaper.:D0 -
Stopped at St Tropez just for 1 night a couple of years ago. I remember we struggled to find anywhere reasonable, even the drinks were out of our league. One thing that I do remember was the fantastic icecream parlour right on the front. Loads of choice and not at all expensive.0
