Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a car on a PCP and as well as paying the monthly rate I'd like to pay into a savings vehicle to raise the GFV too. The payments would be monthly with an additional payment every April (pre-fiscal end).
Any tips on the best/most productive vehicles?
Kind regards
Darren

At least you should have posted how big is your 'particular sum' and what kind of 'vehicles' you are interested in.
If you mean absolutely safe savings and the sum is within £9K, IMO you can get the best result by using 7-10% regular saving accounts and cash ISAs. If you don't want to transfer ISA every 6-12 months for a better rate, consider fixed rate one, 5% Halifax for example.0 -
Same idea...
Regular saver at 7% or 10%, £3K by the end of the year, into mini cash ISA the next
year.Happy chappy0 -

Sorry, should have thought that being vague wouldn't really work!!
I'm looking to pay monthly into, I would presume some sort of regular savings plan, but also add yearly lump sums of up to £2k with a view to raising £9k.
I already have £24k in OEICs/ISA's which earned 16% last year.0
