Claiming on insurance is not worth the hassle, you pay excess and your premium would rise next year.
Salvage what you can, cook any chicken, make some stews etc and refreeze it.
Bet you dont do it again. I think most of us have been there, done that.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
