OK just spoke to daughter i am picking her up wrong as i do lol.
She has been on a 33 hour contract for 2 or 3 months, contract was signed by her accountant and manager and the date was left blank, also he never put the contract through the system but she has her contract up in her room, no date on it but signed, so he is telling her she will only get her recent contract holiday pay for 17 hours, so has she a leg to stand on? If date was left blank?
She will get 17 hours holiday pay next month instead of 33 hours holiday pay because her boss never put the contract through??

when i called him and said this is not right,

why did you call him? If your daughters over 18 she'll need to speak to them herself. Be careful not to get too involved at this early stage.

he told me he will have to clarify this with acccountant.
The holiday was booked well in advance since last year

Sounds like she's had several contracts - might be more complex

    , and what is ACAS?

If you google it, you'll come up with their website and they have loads of hugely helpful information on employment laws and rights etc.

If it's ASDA, I'm sure there will be a Union, however, unless your daughter already belongs too it, I suspect it will be too late to solicit their assistance in this matter anyway, as you usually need to be a member to receive this service.

    Good luck

Thank you for all your help, she is no good on the phone and asked me to call, but from now on she will have to deal with it herself. Will look up google in a sec, thanks again.

She just told about it when she got back to work on Thurs, heard it as a rumour, had word with her manager and he says yes her hours will be getting reduced, and she is still waiting to hear about her new contract, so i told her not to sign anything until she makes sure she gets her holiday pay for the 33 hours, also told her to find out if asda has a union.
So she should get her 33 hours holiday pay?

GMB are recognised by ASDA. Join, find out who the local reps are and make contact with them asking nicely if they can help a new member with an area of concern.
