Hello all

I have alot of tar and road film on the car and wanted to know what the best thing is to remove it.

I have used the clay bar and it didn't shift and have also used a tar and road film remover and that didn't shift it either.

I use the tar remover stuff that comes in a spray bottle from Halfords - also gets rid of dead flies, etc. Takes a good scrub to get them off, but it seems to (usually) work for me.

Try - WITH CARE - white spirit, failing that, petrol soaked on a cloth.

Don't forget to re-wax after.

white spirit, it's what I use, wash afterwards, and if you're that way inclined, wax too.

You just need the tiniest amount on a clean cloth, and it wipes the tar away.

The Pro's use a clay bar.
Never used one myself, but they are supposed to be the dogs danglies
