I have vowed never to go back to YO! Sushi until they respond to a complaint I have had to log twice. I sent 2 letters (the latter by recorded delivery) and they have yet to acknowledge receipt of this.

Most of this was copied from my complaint, so apologies for any parts that sound personal or don't make sense.

"First of all, the service buttons were out of order, and gaining the attention of the staff was difficult. Once their attention was gained, (from across the restaurant) they had given no acknowledgement of my request for assistance, and proceeded to complete their other duties before finally arriving to serve us.

Secondly, after taking a salmon sashimi from the conveyor belt, I had gotten to the last piece, and bit into a rather large bone. I again proceeded to attract the attention of another staff member, who then insisted on taking my chopsticks from my hands, prodding said salmon and commenting that she couldn't see anything. After I had defended my complaint and physically pointed the bone out to her, she took the plate away and conversed with the chef in front of me. I am not normally an easily embarrassed person, but on this occasion, I was made to feel like a fool, as the chef had seemed completely disinterested and pointed out that fish can contain bones. The waitress then put the plate back on my pile of already finished dishes (obviously expecting me to still pay for it), and re-iterated that it is normal for fish to contain bone fragments, and this was indicated on the restaurant's signage and menus.

This is in fact untrue. There is no warning to be seen anywhere indicating that fish dishes may contain bones. I would have expected that the chefs have had the extensive training required to prepare sushi properly and therefore would not have found any bones in the fish dishes. Also the reason why sushi is so expensive to begin with.

I was given no apology and had to request for the plate to be taken away and discounted from my bill. But by this time, my appetite had subsequently diminished."

Just thought I'd share my experience with you all, as I expect people would want to know how frequent customers are treated and valued when they have an unsatisfactory visit.

To this day, and in spite of somebody signing for my letter more than 2 weeks ago, I still haven't received a reply. Like I said earlier, it's nice to be able to share with other people how some companies treat their customers.
