Anyone have a good trick for getting white patio chairs white again?
I've tried cif and bleach with limited success so I think that I'm in need of some help please.
Thanks

I don't think painting is really a good idea as ideally you would need to rub the chairs down first to get the paint to adhere and if it starts peeling off it looks awful. We have a white patio table & chairs and it is constant exposure to sunlight which tends to make them go yellow. We learned the hard way with a previous set of white garden furniture. Now we try to be disciplined and cover them up in bright sunshine and when they're not actually in use with one of those green waterproof covers made for the purpose. This has made a marked difference and after 3 years they're still as white as when we first bought them. If you want to avoid the problem altogether I wonder whether the various green or grey/green stain colours you use for fencing would turn them into a different colour. You would have to experiment on a hidden underside area first and seek advice from the manufacturers as to whether a stain would work permanently on plastic. There may be a special white stain you can use for plastic - Googling this query might produce some answers.0

I can;t get mine clean at all - considered using Plastikote paint and making them a darker colour, think other people have had success with this.
I even tried bleach but it's not like a stain, it's more like the plastic discolours.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Its not yellowing more 'muddy' marks where they got left outside over winter and the rain sat on them.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

What about REVIVE power paste, it claims to clean most everything, including garden furniture0 -
Mr T's plastic cleaner (green bottle, can't remember the proper name of it, sorry) is very good at getting white plastic clean, works well on uPVC windows as well.

Mine is grey/black marks but it's still discolouring rather than a stain. Hope you manage to get it off anyway.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
