I'm itching to get my hands on my BF's bank accounts, I'm sure I could do better than him.

I got my sis hooked on this site, she said I've just got to sort my holiday money out, but I've got to ask Martin the best way to do it, my neice said who's Martin? my sis is like Martin, Martin Lewis my best friend, surely you've met him, my neice was looking at me with that look, my mum's cracked.

If I see my OH has a £2 coin in his change I swap it for two £1s, just so I can put it away!

I've trained OH that ALL £2 coins go in the money box no questions and deffiantly no spending them.

OH now decides what he wants to buy, them gives me the details and asks me to buy it. As he says I always manage to get cash back, some points and get money off. :money: With the help for this site.

#13, chocolate machine, so true, I was close to tears as I was laughing so much.

Of course he and the rest of the family know who Martin is.

:rotfl:I have to say Payday and finding pennies for me:rotfl:

What a fantastic list, I also get very angry if I have to spend any money at all and constantly work out how much CC interest I could have saved if I paid it on my card instead................food I am ok with, I suppose you have to eat

  • all of them are me!!!!!! glad we're all as sad as eachother tho lol. I went to spain for a couple of weeks in May and nearly had a mad panic coz i had no internet, OH really couldn't see why a weekly email could be so important, then i explained that it was only coz of MSE that i got our flights for £240 including bags, extra legroom, meals etc, for both of us return! instead of paying £350 EACH to go with BA lol. Suddenly the penny seemed to drop, she has already txt me about the cheap specs in this weeks email and wants me to help her pick a pair (or three) lol.

Lol I did that - we were on our holiday in Egypt, got a great deal using tactics recomended on here, and on the Wednesdays we had to go to lunch to the bar with Wi-fi so I could get the newsletter on my ipod touch and I could say hi to the girlies (and Poolie!) on my diary (scary when your own diary does not slow down even when you're not posting for two weeks!)

When lots of your sentances start with "Martin says....."
when you say if we want to do x,y,z we need to look for a coupon/voucher etc for it as I'm not paying THAT MUCH.

  • Haha, love it!

How about when you can state how much your bills are projected to be in the next 2 years allowing for inflation because your spreadsheets go all the way up to your debt free date (or is it only me that is that anal, lol)

    Great thread Dinah!

When you have already worked out how many days from payday (tomorrow) til go on holiday (Aug 10) and got your budget planned so don't spend/buy any more food/petrol than needed.

And holiday spending money, don't want to be tight, but don't want a huge visa bill either!
