How 2 split me up in 2 halves?!

Hi all, :hello:
Now that the easter weekend is upon us im stuck on what to do. The thing is me and dh dont get to spend much time together ( he works until 6 at night, me part time and with 3 kids!) So problem is we want to have a night away just the 2 of us, but also want to take the kids somewhere too for a treat. Me and dh only have saturday, sunday and monday off (i have Tuesday off aswell) together. We would like to take the kids away for the night too. We live in the Durham area.

Anybody has any ideas for me and dh and then for the kids also, the cheaper the better obviously!

Thanks to all

How old are the kids? Can you leave them for the day while you two go off and do smthg together?

Lake district would be an idea, send the kids in one direction round a lake and you go the other and meet half way for a drink then carry on and see them back at the car!
Come to my garden in South Bucks and i'll find you a wasp...
  • Sorry forgot to mention that the kids are ds 10, dd 3, ds 8 months, for all i would love to send them around the Lakes i would probably be reported! :naughty:

  • I like to take my boys to chester park when the weathers nice. Hubby and I have a picnic on the grass and the kids run around playing. Best of all its free.
We also used to like going down to York for the weekend.

The Crieff Hydro is a fab place to stay with children. It's not that cheap but they have great childcare (up to about 6 hours per day for the oldest two free of charge). I think you would have to pay to put the little one in the creche. The have good facilities eg. quad biking, golf, cinema, horse riding etc. When we stayed we put the children in the kids club, which they loved, for about 2 hours in the day whilst we had a game of golf or a peaceful walk, and again for a couple of hours in the evening such that we could enjoy a nice meal. Good food as well. We found it to be the best of both worlds. We knew the children were very close to us and having a good time which helped us to relax and have a good time.
