Letting Agent / Landlord Troubles

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with a very complicated set of events!!
I used to work for a letting agent, however myself and a colleague were unfairly and constructively dismissed (employment tribunal pending).
Unfortunately I rent my house through the same letting agent.
I have been considering trying to persuade my landlord to change agents. I wonder if anyone knows if my Landlord is able to change agents midway through a Assured Shorthold Tenancy, as I would be really uncomfortable having to allow my previous employer to access my home for regular inspections and also contacting them with any maintenance issues.
I would appreciate any advice on this.
Jude

Your landlord's relationship with the agent is determined in the contract he has signed with them. It probably contains certain penalties for trying to switch agents. He may be able to do so painlessly with some notice period.

You can ask him but that's no guarantee of getting any result.

You can change the lock (change the barrel, it's easy and reversible) as you do not have to let them in at any point (except for emergency repairs)

why not be honest with your landlord as to what happened - and ask if they can do the inspections - worst that can happen is they say no
