1899.com

We've been happily using 1899.com for over 2 years now following a MSE recommendation. However, every 9 months or so we get a mail from 1899.com saying our bank has rejected our payment and can we provide alternative payment card details. I have checked with my bank and they have never rejected any 1899.com requests. This all seems very odd and is beginning to outweigh the financial benenfits of using this service provider. Does anyone know what's going on?

Not sure what cause this disorder in the card payment, we had this too, but instead of trying to find why I just switched from card to Direct Debit and since then we are friends again with 1899, had no problem any more (3 years now).:money:

This happens from time to time (no, I have no idea why) but the situation is easily resolved. Please see my June 2007 post about how I recovered the situation for my step daughter.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
