Well I thought I would update this after having my 6 monthly check up at the dentist today.

My dentist was extremely pleased and stated that were was no plaque at all. Normally I have to have a clean to remove the plaque even though I brush twice a day.

As the only change to my dental regime is to use this brush just before bed time in place of the electric brush I would normally use I have to give credence to its effectiveness.

A sample of one isn't very scientific but in my case it certainly seems to have helped and I will continue using it.

I bought an ionic toothbrush about 4 months ago, and I love it!!

I get bad sinus problems and so hated using an electric toohbrush as the vibrations always gave me a headache. So I bought an ionic t/b from Ebay (of all places) just to try it.

And it's fabulous. My teeth have never felt so clean, I could never go back to using an ordinary manual t/b, nor an electric one.

It feels just like using an ordinary manual t/b - so great for my sensitive teeth - but leaves them feeling so so clean.

It's brilliant to hear that your trip to the dentist confirmed that your use of the t/b seems to have improved things. I have a check-up in a couple of weeks, I will report back on the state of my teeth and plaque.

Further update, my other half had her check up on Thursday and the dentist said that the state of her teeth was excellent absolutely no plaque at all. Once again this was a first in that she has always had a plaque cleaning in previous visits. I think there is certainly something in the claims made for these toothbrushes, certainly for us anyway

I have bought an ionic toothbrush from e-bay but unfortunately it appears to be part of a job lot from Germany. From reading a review on amazon I have discovered that I need to wet my finger and put it on the metal bit when cleaning my teeth to activate it and when the red light stops shining I need to bin it.

Any other tips from Ionic toothbrush owners?
