Most Generous Credit Limits

Is there any advice out there as to which cards offer the most generous credit limits for applicants with good credit records for balance transfer purposes or if there are any limits providers have ie Barclays limit to £5k BT I believe.

I need a new card with as large a limit as possible as Virgin have given up doing repeat offers and have now slashed my credit limit of £7.5k to £1.5k:mad:

It's not an exact science of course, but IME (and from feedback here), MBNA, Egg and HBOS tend to hand out more generous credit limits to new customers, than some other lenders I could name.

All three lenders allow you to transfer up to 95% of your credit limit.

What about one with your bank? I'm an RBS customer and they recently gave me a very generous 5.5K limit (I'm on a low salary)

Bank is Nationwide who i already have a card with and they never give repeat offers, MBNA seem to dislike me as dispite having several cards and never being turned down by anyone else MNBA have twice declined me, may have to give Egg a go and see what they do. Thanks

I agree with Moggles - my highest limit is from EGG (£12k) and I also have a decent limit from Virgin Atlantic Amex (just over £10k). Halifax are the next best at £9k.
