Not really 10 months interest free!

in Credit cards
I have just received a Sainsbury's credit card, which I applied for because of the 10 months interest free (purchases only) deal. However, when I rang to activate the card I found out that the 10 months started from the day I applied for the card! So I applied on 16th March and did not receive the card until 2nd April, so I now only have just over 9 months interest free.

Not at all uncommon !! Some cards start the promotional period from account opening date, some from balance transfer date/first purchase date.
You still have 9 months and 2 weeks FREE. What's the problem ?0 -

Anyone tried getting their interest free period extended?0 -
12 months free purchases! That's amazing. I could do all my shopping on that and stick the difference into the HiSave. Slow stoozing I suppose. As soon as my mortgage is done then I'm off to apply.Happy chappy0
