ive been searching for flights for the last month 4 adults flying from glasgow or edinburgh or prestwick coming in at around £1140

ive also seen some last minute flights in the next few days £880, is it worth risking the wait and do the last minute cheaper option really happen

Thomson and flythomascook do drop the flight prices at the very last minute. But these are often to sell the last couple of seats and tend to be only for a specific duration. For example you can fly from Glasgow with Thomson Monday for £170 return, but there aren't four seats available and if you wanted two weeks not one you'd also be stuffed. As you need four seats and Turkey is popular this year the odds are against you.
