Last night I learned that Lidl don't take credit cards

Last night OH and I went to check out our brand new Lidl. Picked up a few things, got to the till - "sorry we only take debit cards" I hadn't brought my wallet, only my credit card and OH didn't have his wallet either. So we left our groceries there and went across the road to our trusty Sainsbury's - which would take my credit card.
A lesson learnt - only shop at Lidl with cash or a debit card.

Not all that long ago they would not take Debit cards.
The card issuers take a cut from the sellers and it is one thing that helps to keep prices down.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Lidl have never taken credit cards - like the post says above - it keeps their costs down - so most of the time they are cheaper than Sainsburys.0

Nor do Netto0

Ours does
Although it doesn't accept Amex - only VISA and Mastercard.
I paid by mastercard just the other night.0 -
