Problems with BT line, possible block???

Hi
My BT DD was due to come out of my bank last week (3rd), I had another DD that I had to cancel due to a mistake they made but somehow I managed to cancel the BT one and not notice until this week. Totally my fault ill admit, I still dont know how I cancelled the wrong one.
So today I paid what I owed and went to use the phone but it says "the number you have dialed has not been recognized, please check and try again" on every number I dial and it says that before it has even finished dialing the number.
I have tried ringing my landline from my mobile but it doesn't ring and just stops the call.
Broadband is fine though (also with BT).
Im now thinking that this may be a block put on my line for not paying my DD, but it seems a bit quick after not paying for a block to be placed.
I dialed a freephone number yesterday and it worked fine, its just today it wont ring any number.
They have received my payment as it says online that I now owe nothing, would I be best waiting a few hours for the possible block to be lifted or should I try and report it as a fault.
Oh and the reason I only paid today was because I was waiting for the money to come back from the DD that should have been cancelled.
Thanks for reading.

Just done a line check (online) and it says this issue is already known to us.
And thats it, nothing else.
No explanation, no nothing.0 -
HI Wkdwill,
It sounds like a line fault, PM me your details if you want and I'll look into it.
All the best,
Stephanie

Got it sorted now, managed to find a number that it would ring and my line should be back up in a few hours.
Thanks0 -
Nice one! Let me know if there's anything that I can help with.
