On behalf of my friend , who is a pensioner I sent off a claim for her bank chrges to be refunded. She had a overdraft of £2k which had mounted up.We sent off a form detailing the ins and outs etc.
I had calculated her charges to be around £3.5k over the last six years.
Out of the blue a letter came telling her due to her 'Hardship' they were refunding £2.5k back to her account which covered her overdrawn account and arrears on her rent.
Very good of them , but why only cover these amounts and not the rest of the charges.
Is she able to go after the rest?
thanks
