Conveyancing fees when renting out residential home

We're going to rent out our residential home and are purchasing a new home to move into.
The solicitor is quoting us for conveyancing work on changing our residential mortgage with C&G to a Godiva buy to let mortgage. But surely I just need to get the deeds changed at the land registry? Is there something else I'm missing which is worth £400?
Any advice appreciated!

Thanks Emmzi,
I am paying legal fees for the new lender already as part of the mortgage deal, so I thought this covered the paperwork, but I could be mistaken. I'm not sure what I'm paying another solicitor for?0 -

Did you not consider applying through C&G to convert your existing residential mortgage into a buy to let? Think its a fee of approx £250.0
