Negotiating Rent

I think my partner and I are asking a bit to much but we are looking to rent in the area off staffrd both of us are relocating there due to a job!
The rent for the appartment is 695 a month
idealy we want it for 550 but I'm not completely stupid:p but we are looking to get the rent down to 600 any tips?
