Thanks Maz. I thought I'd missed some new development where CCCS or someone had started charging and I'd misled someone. Nightmare - they'd better not ever do not though.
Just thought I'd catch up on the daily thread for some - errr sanity? Although it sounds like some people are having a hard time so big hugs to them. Caught up with my friend yesterday and her OH's brother had fallen 50metres and fractured so many bones they thought he was going to die - thankfully he will be o.k now so I guess that puts my worries in perspective.

I used to work in a Dr's as a receptionist after I finished school and before I went off to Uni...In my experience yes there are some right snotty jobsworth but actually its often the Dr that makes it a nightmare for the receptionist.
When someone used to phone up desperate for a prescription it was your worst nightmare, often the Dr would be in surgery and you only EVER bother them in surgery if it was life and death. So that then meant having to catch them finishing surgery and popping out to do housecalls or going home, whilst trying to do other jobs, answer phone, book appts etc. The Dr's is always nice as pie to patient saying of course they would do it, no problem and the receptionist always getting it in the neck.! Have to say it shed a new light on how the system worked for me working there and now I do feel sorry for some of the receptionists (although there is always one who will make it as difficult as possible no matter what)

Sorry that turned into a bit of an essay!

but to have to actually go to the surgery to request a prescription:rolleyes::confused: bit harsh and more than a bits jobsworth..

Snags - I would have said 'please make a note that I requested an inhaler - just for the lawsuit that will surely follow if I have a serious attack over the weekend'.

Luc - I used to cry down the phone at the doctors receptionist.........:rotfl:they gave me anything i wanted then.

And them knowing your name comes with the territory of having a baby - for the first few years of their life either you or the baby will have something!

Afraid so Sammy - although there may be some 8/10s lurking in the loft from when I was sub 9 stone:eek:

A couple of envelopey thingies wouldn't go amiss Maz if you don't mind - I think Bunny is interested in the clothes and I still need to send baby stuff to Sammy... Trousers are lovely (and yours)...

Umm I thought RAS was male but then I think someone said RAS was female (or maybe I dreamt it? ). Certainly very knowledgable though.
