Pooky - yes, I'm keeping a diary. This is the first time she has been sick since I decided to, so I guess it will take a while to see if there's any pattern, but I know there's a sickness bug going round at work (she's in creche where I work), so I think this time she's just caught something.
Yuck at the pigeon!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Okay - stage one of operation jumble sale now completed:D
I have some stuff that's good for a new home (not as much as I thought - must be a stash in the loft somewhere still:rolleyes:) including:- Mid grey low rise wide leg trousers with subtle stripe pattern
- Baby pink and baby blue LA Gear gym t shirt
- Grey tshirt dress (of the style that sits on hips to be worn with leggings) with silver roses motif on front (actually New Look maternity but not cut specifically to accommodate bump IYKWIM)
- Brown smock dress with blue/neutral flower pattern. Low cut v neck and princess line ties
- Classic straight leg beige trousers from Oasis (sob - my fave dress trousers - almost worth putting the weight back on for these:o)
- Knitted s/sleeve top in lemon with grey argyle pattern
- Knitted l/sleeve cardigan in pistachio green with grey argyle pattern
- Floral tunic top (white with light blue/green flowers) with tie belt
- White s/sleeve gypsytop with black embroidery (bought 2 months ago:mad:)
And finally - Blue speedo sport tankini (worn once I think), quite a short top and shorts and a blue sarong
Any takers?:rotfl:
(If you want to see a pic of something I'll see what I can do...)
Would it be cheeky if i asked for the 3 things highlighted!!??

Gah gah gah gah gah.
This is the conversation I've just had with the doctors receptionist:
Me: Hiya, I've lost my asthma inhaler, and I've just realised my spare has hardly any in and might not last me over the weekend. I've spoken to the pharmacy, and they said if I ring you, you should be able to organise a prescription so I can get a new inhaler before the pharmacy shuts today?
Receptionist (sounding huffy): Well, you'll have to come into the surgery, request it, then come back later to pick it up. But you'll have to come in now really because it will take a while and we close at 5pm.
Me: Okay, except I can't get there till about quarter to four, is that going to be too late
Receptionist: Yes
Me: Well, is there any chance one of the doctors could do a prescription for me, and I'll call and get it?
Receptionist (sounding peed off now): Well, how are you going to request it?
Me: Can't I just request it now?
Receptionist (like I'm being really thick): You. Can't. Request. It. Over. The. Phone.
Me: Oh...um...I suppose I'll just have to risk it then and hope I don't have any bad attacks over the weekend.
Receptionist (now sounding slightly panicked and really quite angry): I'll have to get the on-call doctor to give you a ring, but you've left it a bit late.
Me (biting my tongue and trying not to sound sarcastic): Err, okay, thanks so much for your help...sorry for losing my inhaler at an inconvenient time...."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Doctor just rang, all smiley and cheerful 'Oh don't worry Mrs Snaggles, we'd never let you run out of your inhalers, give me about half an hour and you can collect the prescription from reception, and get a new inhaler today'.

Ah yes the classic control freak doc's receptionist.
The one at the 1-2-1counselling service for PND has a couple of the girls scared to call in:rotfl:26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Oh dear! It's actually quite a serious point though, because more than once when I was suffering from depression, I rang the doctors and ended up hanging up without an appointment, because I was too anxious to cope with the interrogation they give you.
They're a funny breed aren't they - some are really nice, and always chatty and helpful when you go in, but I think most surgeries seem to have the odd jobsworth control freak.
I didn't even mind her saying I had to come in to request it, if those are the rules, then those are the rules, but it was the way she got quite excessively annoyed at me for not being aware of their odd little rules! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
