BT Connection Nightmare

I'm hoping somebody can help me please, I'm at the end of my tether. I'm moving house July 15th and will be needing a BT telephone line at my new address. I have been a customer with BT for 27 years, apart from a 3 week disaster with NTL, but I can't get any sense from calling BT. The left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing with me getting several different answers every time I speak to a different person.
The current resident at the house I will be moving to has a BT Business Line. We have been told by one person that this line will revert back to a residential line when we move in and that we won't have to pay any additional charges, we will just be transferring the account. We have also now been told that a business line has different wiring and BT will therefore need to charge us £122.50 to rectify this and get our residential line sorted.
What is the correct procedure here? Surely, either this is a simple transfer from one residential phone line to another, or it is BT changing the business line back to residential. Why should a loyal customer of 27 years have to pay a £122.50 connection charge to carry on being a loyal customer for another 27 years. I do not want to reconnect, I am not leaving BT. I only want to move house!
Nobody seems to be able to tell me what the procedure is and if for some reason there is a £122.50 charge, why is there a charge for a customer of 27 years with an unblemished record?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gary

A connection charge should not be applied for an existing line.
Its not difficult for them to move it from biz to res.
