  • So you didnt pay enough in 06/07.

Why didnt you pay the extra when you started work in 06?

Why should you not pay full NI contributions then get the benefits anyway?

What are you going on about...?

How can you pay the extra when you haven't worked it yet..?. As i posted before you have to work the full tax year as it's CLASS 1 NI Contributions.

Who said i should get benefits and not pay the full NI...?. That is why if you read i phoned them and asked if i could makeup the shortfall. Was told no as it's based on earnings over the full year. Was advised to appeal and ask for the last 2 years to be considered as it's now gone past april.

There is a minimum level of NI payable to achieve full benefits. you should have called in Oct 06 and asked the payment required to bring your NI upto the minimum and achieve benefits.

Really...? I wonder how many people do that, be serious. What is the level then..? According to the advisor there is no set level as i have explained before. It is based on a full years earnings whatever the earnings maybe.
  • That sounds strange

I've been accepted for contributions based jsa but in 2007 I did not work the full year - why should they accept me and not you?
