I'm grateful for all the help and pointers given on here. I agree it's getting clogged up with repeat posts and think duplicate ones should be edited/deleted to make the board easier to read.
Don't stop posting though as I can't always look for the quizes myself as I'm in competition for the keyboard with my 2 year old. Thanks for all the time people put in to help others.:smileyhea0 -
Thanks everyone for all the answers.
I am going to get my second voucher.:) However, I still have points outstanding from Amazon. It said 2 weeks, so I might be worrying to early. :0 -

This morning I had 651 points before I clicked anything. Total is now 711. So it looks like I had 20 points for egg even tho' it says 10.
I always check my points total every day now.:coffee:0 -

Exactly.. its hardly rocket science!
I enjoy doing the crossword each night.. I will only post the answer link on here if its not already been done.. And although its real nice that people do, it wouldn't bother me at all if no one pressed the thanks button!
I think its a little unfair of us to expect one person to post the links every day (unless they are happy to do so of course!) Kazzea and co are stars!
So many people take the huff when double posting is pointed out.. have never seen it done nastily.. so lets chill a little folks0 -
lush_walrus wrote:Droopsnout I completely agree ... <snip> For a long time you were the only person to post the crosswords and Kazza all of the comps daily. And both of you were brilliantly reliable.
But, at the moment there are lots of people vying for the spot (and its probably all linked to the stupid want of getting thanked!) of being the regular poster of comps etc.
Before it just happened due to the fact that everyone let you both get on with it, but perhaps now as there seems to be 3 or 4 people wanting to do the same thing why dont we vote for a person. Or something which hands the reign over to a new eager person. Seems to be the only way to really stop multiple posting of the same old info.
When I was generally the only one to post the crossword solution, there were many fewer readers of the PB threads, as witnessed by the fact that back then, there would be maybe 7 or 8 "thank you" clicks. There are now often 30 or 40.
With the growing numbers of posters, it was inevitable that the thread would lose its cosiness, and it is only natural that others would feel a desire to be helpful. I had a couple of holidays either side of Christmas, and that sparked off a race to be first to post the crossword solution, especially as it became known that it was not necessary to produce the image of it.
For my part, whilst I sometimes feel that some folks were eager to jump into "dead men's shoes", I accept fully that I have no more right than anyone else to be first to post anything whatsoever on here: crossword, quiz answers, links, or anything. It is a public forum, and I don't think feelings should necessarily be hurt when others take over someone's mantle.
I might also add that I now no longer feel guilty if I go to bed before 1 a.m! (We're an hour ahead here) And I suspect that Mrs DS is also in favour of me not stopping up so late every night.
I have not heard from Kazzea, but she was having problems with her PC and internet connection. Whether it is that which has prevented her from posting, or whether she has become fed up with what might appear to be the constant challenges to her 00:02 postings, I really don't know. Her last post on MSE was 9 April with Sunday's answers.
