    Hi, google DALI. There is such a system, but not sure whether you can get a domestic type. Bear in mind that the lighting system would still be using a small amount of energy to monitor the light levels and of course it has to be on stand by to be able to come on at the right time. Then you would want to put an override in..it sounds like a very expensive solution.

    I used to have this problem. Nagging like a witch solved it.

    Can you borrow a monitoring meter from someone, monitor the use and work out how much it is costing you then show him what he is wasting in monetary terms?
    I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o
