Ask them for the cost of an adaptor too, so you can use it in the UK!!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I hope the adaptor is 240v 50hz compatible

The only real clues to the origin seem to be some US terminology (which a lot of websites will have because they cut and paste), the CA address and the US law statement in the T&C's.

The name, ignoring the .co.uk, is very reminiscent of the myriad of US stores selling to the UK that have been appearing in Google searches in recent times. Many UK sites have gone back to £x.99 or £x.00 pricing so anything else always looks a bit suspicious especially when everything ends in 88p. All these companies automatically price in pounds. The site design is very similar to the same myriad of US companies.

The only thing that suggests it's a UK company is the .co.uk and I do agree they are misleading customers. Research though has nothing to do with hindsight. It's the first thing everyone should do. Even a simple Google search shows it's a US company on the second result (at a complaining site).

P.S. The power supply in question turned up with a US plug. Isn't that just the icing-on-the-cake!? :naughty:

so you now need a step down transformer!

    peachy!
    Back by no demand whatsoever.
  • The adapter itself is fine. It was 240V 50Hz input. It just happened to be shipped with an American plug on it. Fortunately, I already had a power chord lying around that fits the adapter, so at least I can use my laptop again.

This is what the product description actually said:
    180W Laptop/Notebook Adapters

    Output: 19V 9.5A 180W

    Color: Black
Output Tips: 5 PIN special -oval
