I sent a letter and cheque to halifax(to the address stated in previous post) and got a very speedy reply!! They sent my cheque back! I sent it to data protection manager and they returned saying I need to put a name on the cheque. Unfortunatley Halifax are not being very forthcoming with the name I need to put on, have been put on hold several times, cut off once and my branch dont have a clue. Can anybody help.
P.S at least the address is right if thats any consolation!0 -

You will hate me for this post and it is not meant with any form of sarcasm but you need to write
"Halifax PLC"
I have seen worse by the way.0 -
:beer:Thanks Natwest, I will send it off again!
Allthough I did send a cheque addressed to the same in 2007, and they cashed it! (but didnt send the info)
Funny how NONE of the staf I spoke to in branch or otherwise knew to put HALIFAX PLC which seems so obvious now you have pointed it out.
I wonder if staff have been briefed that if any customer looks to be in a process of reclaiming their bank charges, to be as unhelpful and akward as possible to try and put them off!
Or is it just be me being cynical?:mad:0 -
Most branch staff don't deal with bank charges apart from following a process where you don't mention the OFT test case(I feel like Basil Fawlty and an episode called the Germans....I mentioned OFT test case but I don't think they heard!!!)0
