These holidays are no good if you have kids in School because your not allowed to take your kids out of school, you can get fined for it now, I tried to book today through the priority booking system and there is not one park available in the uk for half term in October, thats the 4 days Mon -Fri, so all the people saving the papers and vouchers who havent even sent them off yet will be wasting their time.
This is only any good if you have kids under 5 not in school or no kids at all.

I booked a mon- fri half term break in yorkshire at about 11.30 last night and it was my first choice of park and dates so they are available.

Not true, I have four kids all in school and three of them in high school so I'd be loathe to remove them from school even if the head gave permission. ( And you CAN take your kids away during school time so long the head agrees) I had a choice of five parks ALL with mon - fri Oct half term available. So they are there, you just have to search and avoid the busiest parks.

Will the system allow me to book a separate break for myself also, by using the same ref no?

No the reference umbers are only valid for 1 booking, after this it comes up you have already booked your holiday.
get another code off ebay and you can book to go with her for as long as the park has spaces though.
