Options
Hi all we was lucky enough today to have my niece assesessed for an adapted tricycle which she was able to ride, my niece is 3 yrs old and has cerebral palsy which has left her unable to stand or walk but to see her riiding the bike brought a tear to my eye, we was told the bike cost just over a thousnd pounds and was wondering if anyone knew of any charities that could help towards the cost we arent asking for the full amount but just a donation towards the cost of the bike any help would be much appreciated thank you in advance to anyone that can help

You could try Cerebra or BDF Newlife. I have no dealings with the grant section of Cerebra but Newlife funded my DD's specialist highchair and they are very friendly people to deal with. I think you can download application forms from both of their websites.

Do you know anyone who is a member of Rotary Club, or Lions? Often they will offer funds for things like this, or do a special fund-raiser for you.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • Hello,

I would recommend you contact Caudwell Children.
    http://www.caudwellchildren.com

Mobility equipment for children is the type of application that they support.
There is also The Family Fund.
    http://familyfund.org.uk

I would apply to the former first, and leave the family fund for something else.

    Good Luck,
