Can people please leave their thoughts on the most reliable thing for storing back up stuff on my PC. I only know of CD-R and CD-RW disc's, an external hard drive and an extra internal hard drive.
The things i'm most interested in keeping are phot's from my digital camera.
I currently have an 80Gb Seagate HD with Windows XP and other programs. And a second 250Gb Maxtor HD (not too confident about, had two previous faulty replaced under warranty).
Thanks

Hi
I agree on Maxtor, thats why I put in a 250gb Seagate last week, excellent drives, I swopped the drives over, so the master is now the Seagate and the Maxtor is the slave, and I use this one as the backup.
You can also back up to DVD discs.
Have you thought of a usb flash drive,

No, didn't think about the USB drives. Probably a bit small though.
Thanks anyway.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

People suggested to me to use streamload.com for backup which I find absolutely great. Accessible from everywhere and 25GB storage for free. really great.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
