Olympus E500 Digital Slr - Advice Please!

I am looking at updating my photography equipment and going digital - my old slr equipment was olympus, so I have an array of lenses etc.
I am interested in the OLYMPUS E500 SLR - especially if I can use my original lenses with an adapter.
Does anybody know if this is possible?
Also, if anyone has an E500 I'd be grateful for a review.
If the original olympus lenses cannot be used with the E500, then I'll be on the market for a well-priced digital SLR (any make) - advice please.
