travel insurance?

I've been putting off searching around for insurance for our holiday. I'm looking for annual cover for a family of 4 and have no idea where to start!

Are there any companies out there that you would recommend or that I should steer clear of? Any other tips would be gratefully received...

many thanks!

I am also looking for travel insurance and noticed two companies on Quidco cashback site that you get 15% cashback on the policy you take

    Maybe worth a look

    ooh i do like quidco!

I'm just worried about getting ripped off. Our youngest is 4 years old now and this is the first time we've been abroad for about 10 years so I feel a bit nervous generally...silly I know!

Ive just used the Post Office Travel Insurance and it was very easy to sort - only did it the day before departure!

I have use direct travel a few times and they are good value IMO for the cover provided.

    Examples

£11 for a family of four for 4 day Europe city break

£29 for family of 4 for 17 days Europe

Never got enough money to go abroad enough to need annual cover

As an aside you can purchase via money supermarket* and get immediate cover as policy number and terms (pdf) are emailed with your receipt, great for last minute bookings.
    I have a cunning plan!
