  For the second time in 2 months my car has been attempted to be stolen and expensive damage has been done, they have put a crow bar under my door lock and wrenched the door skin open leaving a massive hole in the door, people wo do this make me sick it's jealousy and pure evil.
I want to know if there is any device I can buy or alarm system that sound if any tampering is done?
The car is brand new and I wish I just had an old banger nowadays

What car is it? Perhaps it would be better to go for a 3 - 5 year old car which attracts less attention or a 2 - 3 yr old anonymous car.

You can get perimeter alarms which sound if someone loiters within 1 metre from your car, but imo they are a waste of money. How about fitting it with a tracker (cheaper insurance) and have stickers on the window saying "fitted with tracker" Or just have the stickers lol!

I have just switched from my old banger (15 yr - polo 200K) due to MOT, and me not wanting to do the work, I switched to my other car (previously SORN) a six year old Jap 2 door hatchback with 90K on the clock, it's not worth much so I insure it TPFT.

It's a company car so I have to have a new one really, dreading telling them tomorrow I will offer to pay for it though as it's nor fair paying the excess £250 again!
I wondered about in car CCTV can you get this? Looking into a cliford alarm too

If it's a company car, why should you pay anything?

I don't agree you *need* a new one, my 90K Jap car looks new inside (outside has a couple of carpark dings ) It starts as new, runs as new. Cost me 3,000 when it was 2yrs old! I've had it 4 yrs and it's still worth atleast 1,500.

Garage it, that's the only way to be sure. I imagine it's like a beacon to the local car theives and youths who enjoy "keying" nice cars as they walk past. If you fit a touch sensitive or perimeter alarm you might find it goes off too often, when the wind blows, or someone walks past, and after a few complaints you could be served with a noise abatement order (quite rightly too imo).

A very similar thing happened to my car...it was a bottom of the range bog standard nothing special three door six year old Ford Fiesta. They didn't even manage to get the stupid door open but did leave me with a big fat bill to pay.

A couple of months later I noticed the same thing had happened to a neighbour's car...a bog standard nothing special VW Polo...door was wrecked but still shut.

Excuse me for swearing but there is at least one useless n*b end out there with nothing better to do.

If these events happened in the same parking space then take a look to see if your parking spot is essentially "blind" ie it's difficult to view your car from a house. I would suggest parking under a street lamp, parking where there are lots of overlooking windows, not near anything eg a tree which might obstruct the view of the car etc etc. I would be tempted to say connect it to a power line, but you would get in trouble if the sh*t who is doing this damage were to get injured.
