Barclays Contents Insurance

Hi all,
I have been getting quotes from Barclays on my contents insurance and have got the right price, when I go back to it and change the start date to when I want, the price doubles. I phoned up and this is because my original quote was done during there Half price offer which has now been stopped so when I change my start date the computer is requoting at the new rate. My question is if I buy for example tomorrow at the lower price from the quote I received will they honor it, I'm worried that they will turn round and say that deal is not valid, although the quote is valid for 90 days?
Thanks in advance for your help
Regards
Sam

If the quote they gave you is valid for 90 days and it is still within that period am sure they will honour it. Make sure you keep the quote info. that says the quote is valid for 90 days in case there is a problem.0

Hi thanks for your reply, that's what I was thinking, the quote is valid for 90 days from 28th June. I just need to tell Nationwide to cancel my insurance with them when it ends on the 21st of July, Purchase the Barclays cover and they said to phone them and they ould manually change the start date to start on the 21st so fingers crossed it will all work out ok.

Samt1 if someone is telling you they will manually change the date please please make sure you get the person you spoke to full name and the date / time of the call as otherwise these types of things have a habit of going wrong and then companies deny they told you this0
