I would love a pedicure at the moment (23 weeks) or a pregnancy massage would be pretty amazing too!

For after baby I think chocolates, lovely bubble bath, a lovely soft fleecey blanket, some nice fluffy socks to wear when doing night time feeds or if money is really not an object then I would adore one of these http://www.johnlewis.com/230530595/Product.aspx but would never buy one for myself!

I would still avoid the alcohol (even a small bottle) incase she breast feeds. With all the things your told your not allowed when your pregnant is she missing anything imparticular?

I'll add another vote for babysitting voucher, I still ask for them now when ppl ask what i want for my b-day or xmas.

For when pregnant, some of the nice pregnancy moisturisers and bubble bath from boots. Strange as it may sound but an exercise ball (they are just like the balls you get in birthing class), as I found when I got really big and just after DS they were good to sit on (I gave one to a friend when she was pregnant she didn't understand until she got to that stage then she loved it) and another strange one get her some raspberry leaf tea bags (if she drinks a cup a day from about week 35/36 onward they help things stretch so they don't rip if you know what I mean). A pregnancy massage is good too.

Another thought for after baby arrives, she's going to be tired and not have a lot of time to herself, does she have a favourite tv series or some music you could treat her too? To go with babysitting vouchers.

On the alcohol - even when breastfeeding you can have a small glass occasionally and she would appreciate the thought I'm sure!

I've yet to have mine but I already know I'd appreciate an offer of housework being done for me! Maybe vouchers for 'hoovering the house' or 'making one meal'?

    EDIT: LA Leche League says
A little alcohol (one unit a day) is unlikely
to harm your baby but avoid drinking
larger amounts as this can affect your
    milk supply.

Totally agree - my mum bought me mini cans of Guinness to have with my tea when I was breast-feeding

Is there any food she is missing eating? I really missed soft cheeses when I was pregnant........and prawns....
I think the DVD idea of programmes she likes for late night feeds is a great too!

When I was pregnant with eldest (now 9) a friend did me a layette box and filled it with things for both baby & me, so things like sleepsuit, scratch mits and practical things for me like disposible knickers as well as things like foot lotion.
It's the present I always remembered the most.

My Friend did me a gift basket too loads of creams lotions and potions to pamper myself with. The one thing i cant live without at the moment is my fan so maybe put a small hand held one in the basket too :-)
