Yeah it was a win and sorry to bore those that have already read this on facebook but basically it's a 5 star stay at The Goring in Victoria with £500 vouchers to spend at their pride of Britain hotels, free brekfast and dinner for both days, champers afternoon tea tomorrow, ride on the eye(been on it before anyway and didn't think much of it but it's free;)) and then onto the queens gallery at buck house. We was supposed to have a chauffuer driven car to the eye and gallery but the hotel said as we asked to take the kids with us and they have given us a family room at no extra charge they can't provide the car which is fair enough i spose:rolleyes::cool:
We do have to pay though for the extras for the kids like a meal for them but niot sure they'll like it being posh anyway(have you seen their menu or a sample of it online?) and saying that i am fussy too so might not like anything;)
But if they do we can use the vouchers anyway and i might even use one to connect to their wireless at a cost of £15 per 24 hours(or £5 per hour:eek:) as i might just take the netbook with me incase;)
The Goring's site
The Goring sample menu
Errm most people i suppose would love to have food like that but not me give me chips;)Darren0 -
Dalkirst - hope you & the family have a brilliant couple of days - just think of all the luxury!
No electric at work still today but we may have it back by tomorrow morning so hopefully will get exam done before lunch! *crosses fingers* Fed up with all this studying lark & want it over again until next year.
Night all, need sleep to be perky & bright tomorrow!Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Forgot to say i said this on FB too but do people always take stuff like dressing gowns and slippers from these posh places as souvenirs?;)Darren0
