Moggins, congratulations! Is there lots of OS babies about then? Oh dear, I'm not sure I'm ready for one of those yet. Please tell me it's not all down to Twinks hobnobs, I couldn't give those up
I'm out of my OS gloom, now, anyway, because my energy monitor arrived this morning and I've been playing with it ever since! Running round switching everything off to see how low I can get the reading! I'm hoping that OH's competitive streak (or at least his frugal one) will kick in and he'll start taking more care, too. I've not-so-subtly positioned the monitor right next to his chair, so he can't miss it lol.
Work yesterday wasn't so bad after all - a lady wrote in to say how helpful I'd been to her so my boss gave me a £10 voucher :j I'm going to use it in Wilkinsons and get one of those MP3 FM transmitter things. Not very OS, but actually it is, because most of my music is on my computer so I have it on to belt my music out while I do the housework. Now I've got my energy monitor, I'm thinking a radio has got to use less power, so I can play my music through that from my MP3 instead of using all that PC-juice. Also I'm off to France in 10 days - first holiday in years :j - and the thing that sticks out in my mind more than anything is that the music on French radio is dire. Mioliere, as well as being new I'm a little slow on the uptake - are you in France? Is French radio really as bad as I remember it?
Anyway, I'm rambling, and I [STRIKE]want to see how much energy turning off the PC will save[/STRIKE] need to do some housework. Have a good day, everyone!

Afternoon all,
Dull and windy here to-day but allegedly we are to have no rain, so going to go with putting the washing out...it won't be in my way and will dry sometime!
Moggins...Congratulations on your pregnancy....take good care of you both.
Today I am going to tackle the 'hot-spot' that is the living room....OH behaves as if we live in one room, leaves jackets, shoes but most of all newspapers all over the place! Needs hoovering and furniture needs polishing, feel that it will take all day but I think that starting is the worst part.
Think that we will have fish, fennel and broad beans for dinner....has anyone ever frozen fennel as we now have quite a lot and I know that it will run to seed if it gets too big?
Cats outside...Sile brought me a present yesterday....tiny field mouse...she lost interest as soon as it was dead, but at least she is showing signs of being a 'normal' cat....Thunder would rather sleep on someone's knee.
Hugs to everyone in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, good luck to all who are job-hunting

Hi all.
Congrats to Moggins:T
Have managed to do a pile of ironing today and make a choc traybake which just needs icing now.
Still having migraines but not as many as Dr has started me on prophylactic meds now, it is making me tired but seems to be working:T....only taken 7 weeks:rolleyes:...had a nice letter from work today saying I have to go in a week on Monday to see the matron and someone from HR to see why I have been off and how they can get me back to work....I know it is just NHS policy but they have a knack of making you feel that you are skivving:o..I will have to take DS with me as it is school hols so am sure the meeting will be short and sweet;).
Am just mulling over what to get for DS`s teachers, there are 4 to buy for, I was thinking of making some Twinks or a loaf cake each wrapped in cellophane and ribbon....thing is I dont know how people feel about HM stuff..will they eat it or not? Is anyone else doing this?....I was going to buy them each a Neste Dante soap but it will be about £20 in total to buy them each one and I dont have much spare cash at the mo.
Have to take DS to dentist later which is always tricky:o. He is spending the day in Y2 today getting prepared for going there in Sept..he was flapping away this morning about the fact that he will have to have his lunch at a different time than in Y1 and they havent got round to changing a toilet seat in Y2 so he has a white one( he must be the only child who takes a toilet seat with him through school:o) so I hope he has been ok.
Well must go and ice this cake
Hugs to all in need and Good Luck to FE. Hope these next few weeks fly by and you get to a stage where you feel much "safer" and can relax a little.
ETA..I have been mullling over getting a Remoska.....not sure I would use it tho0 -
