Is eBay a good option??
I’ve sold loads on there before but never a car and don’t know the best way.
What’s best way to get the money etc?
He’s hoping to get about £1000 for it.

    Hi
last year we sold our knackered old diesel ford escort with loads wrong with it for £1K - buyer (mechanic bloke) came down form Lincoln, brought a low loader to collect it and paid cash!
it's very straight forward. and ebay lead you through all the things you ahve to say about it. Beware of people trying to get you to sell it to them BEFORE the end of the auction.

I've sold a couple of cars on ebay without a problem, in fact considering they were fairly old and getting towards the end of their life i got more for them than i was expecting.

My method is this:- give the car a good clean then take lots of good quality pictures from all angles. Write an honest, detailed description covering all the good points plus any bad points and be totally open about the state of the vehicle.

    Thanks,
He's hoping to sell over easter and to me it's the easiest option and hopefully the quickest.
He's been offered a car in germany so he don't need this one.
We would def be honest and detailed about it and try and take good pics.
it's not perfect but I think someone will like it.

    I've sold two cars

the first was a Triumph spitfire for a restoration project about 5 years ago. The first buyer was a zero feedback newbie and 24 hours after the auction sent me a couple of weird emails and then gave me a neg ! sold it second time for a reasonable (ish) price to a chap who sent a tow truck to take it half way across the country.

Second car was my K reg. hyundai X2 Pony. Sold it 3 years ago. Perfectly reliable, but didn't need three cars between us. Perfectly reliable and lots of tax and MOT. Only got £115 , but the chap paid cash for it and there were no problems.

Be honest. Point out the good and the bad. Take lots of photos and be prepared to answer questions fully and honestly. It's easy enough to list but if you really don't want it to go for (possibly) peanuts, put a reserve on it. I needed to sell the Hyundai, but only £115 broke my heart for such a reliable car.

Sold my blown up fiesta G reg for £50, bought for £200 and gave me a years driving, so ok. Also managed to smash up my saxo vtr after 2 hours of having it, wasnt funny at the time, but managed to sell it for £1100. Not nice selling a car that you only drove under 5 miles in and paid £2900 for and then the next week your selling it for £1100 lol.
    Kind Regards
    Bill
