Well after been turned down by First Direct for a card, bearing in mind i've been with them 5 years with Mortage, no missed payments, i was put through to an underwriter with a sense of humour,
me, why did you turn me down, never missed anything etc,etc

Because at the end of the day its there money and you are not automatically entitled to get hold of it just because you want some of it.
They may deem a gambler as being a higher risk lender, I don't think anyone would dispute that either.0
