credit card tart - can i become one?

i have 2 cards and each month pay 150 off each i have both cards now back down to within original limits, but at the rate i'm paying only abot 40 comes off each month - so i'll be paying until i'm 100!!!!

am i still eligible to switch? i don't want to apply for something, get rejected and then that will affect my credit rating/score.

i would take a loan but don't think i would pass the test.

Worth a try,i,ve had 12 cards in 5 years,dont think i,ve ever been on a rate of more than 8% ever.

you don't say if you were over limit at any stage, i was and am wondering if it will affect my chances. really dont want to mess up my score any more than need be.

For how many months were you over your limit?

Have you viewed your credit reports to ascertain just how much damage is there?

If things are really bad then you might be better to bide your time, and earn more, spend less, and budget better to free up additional monies to service the existing card accounts.
