Selling Pampers Coupons on eBay

I have been browsing eBay and have been surprised to see money off coupons for Pampers for sale. I thought you weren't allowed to do this.
I have some coupons that I won't be using as being a real money saver I use Asda Comfort Dry which I prefer to Pampers. Can I sell them on eBay? I notice that the coupons have 'This coupon is not for sale' printed on them - it's getting late and my brain is feeling small as to the meaning of this phrase.

is this for real? how much are the coupons for? are they the £1 and £2 ones that you get sent from registering from all of the baby clubs?

edit: this coupon is not for sale would normally mean that you cannot sell it!! it may be "holder specific" ... say from Boots Advantage or Nectar or somethin!

Yes it's for real - there is someone selling £9 of coupons - the ones that Pampers send you - and the bids are over £4 with a few hours left to go! I don't think that they are 'holder specific' as when I have used them previously they just get handed over with payment - no card needed. There are quite a few people selling them on there, as well as for other brands. That's why I asked the question - they are selling them and ebay are letting them - even though it looks like Procter & Gamble have printed that on the ticket.

I believe the £1-3 off Pampers coupons that come through the post have a barcode that starts 99, which means you can use them in supermarkets without buying the product specified - it just takes the money off your bill.

This is possibly why people may want to sell/buy them?

Ebay will remove them if reported. I listed some a while ago and the listing got removed.
Shame really, as i then had to bin 47 pounds worth of due to expire coupons someone could have used but i was not even allowed to offer on Freecycle as 'not tangiable' and encourages consumerism!!!
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

there are always lots of coupons for sale on ebay. What's the problem? They have them, they don't want them, you want them, you buy them! I don't see an issue...
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

Is it really worth the effort of listing them!

You could say that about anything. It's no more effort (indeed less) to list a coupon than something that requires more complicated photography, description and packaging. Coupons are dead easy to sell which is why people bother. If it's not allowed to sell them on ebay, why do ebay have a category for selling them? As for terms and conditions on voucher, these seem to be ignored by certain supermarkets anyway who commonly accept them against other goods than those stated.

If you register with Eukanuba puppy food via a cashback site they send you a non-store specific voucher starting with barcode 99 that is worth £13.99. Loads of people list these on ebay and I've seen an equal number of people pay £7-8 for them, presumably to get money knocked off their shopping rather than buy expensive dog food!

I didn't even consider people buying them to get money off their general shopping bill and not buying the product (shows I was tired last night when posting) I was looking at it from the point of actually buying the nappies - if you have a baby it needs nappies. Buying a coupon on ebay that gives you £9 off for £4 plus postage seems a good deal to me - especially as Tesco's has Pampers 'Simply Dry' advertised in yesterday's paper for £3.50 per pack as an introductory offer. In fact I might use my coupons myself and take advantage of a packet of Pampers for 50p! It's got to be less hassle than listing them and then worrying about having the listing removed - although I agree with you moneypenny - why have a category for selling coupons on ebay if you're not allowed to do so.
Sorted - I use my vouchers this time with the Tesco offer and think about selling the next ones.
