I am about to start my first computer build, can anyone tell me where to go for good value non flashy case?
I am looking for:-
ATX case, 450W PSU with fan
Also where to get other components:-
Athlon 64 3200
Motherboard
1GB Memory
Graphics Card
DVD/RW
Floppy Disc Reader

Personally I think buying the PSU separately is a better option, ones that come with cases are often cheap ones and the PSU isn't somewhere you want to skimp on, even if it is one of the more 'boring' parts of the computer. You could always buy one that comes with a PSU and sell the PSU to replace it with a better one.
Do you have a budget for the case and PSU set? Ideally you want a case that has mounts for large fans, as small 80mm fans create more noise than slower moving 120mm fans.0 -

Have a look at the Antec range of cases. The Sonata II and Overture II are both well built cases that come with decent 450W psu's. They retail at around £70-80 which is very good value for what you get."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

I've not long ago used the Sonata II for my latest machine. It is an excellent case. I am still amazed at how quiet it is.
Microdirect are a good supplier as well. I've used them many times over the years without a problem. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
