Sainsburys Innocent Smoothies Offer

The SEL in sainsburys stated that this was for 2 for £4, the offer was advertised on every innocent sel. Now some smoothies cost around £3.40, so we though 2 for £4 was a great offer (we got the new guest smoothie and the little lunch smoothies which are ideal for work!)
Nowehere did it say that you had to have certain 2 smoothies, and since i have purchased this offer in the past i knew that the offer would come off.
When i checked the receipt the offer had not come off and the CSD refused to refund me the difference stating that you cannot mix and match, however when i asked her to show me where it stated that you cannot mix and match she got the fresh foods manager, who told me the same thing and that they did not have to state that it was only on certain innocent products, to which i told him, in that case the offer was deceiptive and that it was again trading standards, which he blamed HO for not sending the correct POS.
I did get the difference back in the end, but it was a grudgingly refund, however who was right, myself or sainsburys.

If they hadn't received the correct Point of Sale cards\boards then they shouldn't have carried the offer. Simple! To rely upon their clientèle to guess at their intent isn't correct or legal.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Surely each sel has the relevant product name and bar code relating to ONE product, therefore it's obvious you can't mix and match.0
