Reclaiming CC charges

Hello all,

I have 5 credit cards, all are over there limits by far, because of charges.
I am behind on payments with all cards. Currently trying to set up a DMP.
All the credit cards were aquired after Dec 2006.

Anyway, there have been LOADS of charges placed on my CC in the past 3 yrs, i maxed them all out then paid them all off last year, and now they are maxed again! :-(

All charges are around 12 or 13 pounds, there are no 30 pound charges as far as i can remember but there could have been in the beginning.

What would be the best way of going about reclaiming these charges and do i qualify for a refund.

I have cards with Halifax, Barclays, Lloyds, Vanquis, Capital One.

I also dont have many of my past bills only the most recent ones.

Reclaim them all INCLUDING the £12 ones. You may have to take one or two to court over them but they will pay up and it will reduce the amount owing on the DMP

Is or was there any PPI with any of the cards?

There is no PPI on any card as far as im aware.

I have read on the forum about ppl not sending cheques with their letters and getting statements....do you think its neccessery to send cheques with all 5??

It will give them an excuse not to send them but you can always send them all without payment and see which ones are likely to send them without it.

doesnt matter now. ive just got back from post office. have sent to 5 cc companies (didnt include £10 cheque) requesting all charges and have also sent to LLoyds TSB requesting all charges from bank. In the last 6 months i must have been charged at least £500!! I included a cheque for £10 with that.

Thanks for all your help. I hope im doing this right. Some of the success stories seem too good to be true!!
