And the fact that this case was dropped before it ever got to court shows that the council's lawyers did not think that this case was fraud. After all, provided you actually live at the address of convenience then you are not comitting fraud.0 -
If you can show (rent agrement) that you actually rented the place with the convienient address and then provide some evidence that you actually lived there at the crucial time, then there is no fraud.
It seems a lot cheaper and a lot less aggrevation than renting out your current home to achieve the same end.
Do check the admission criteria. Some places require residence on a particular date, others require you to live there from a certain date to the time the child starts school. Check whether the place can be withdrawn if you subsequently moved away but before the child started school.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Consider what would happen if the market doesn't get better.
It's different this time - prices will (almost certainly) never recover to peak 2007 levels (except for inflationary effects).
