    No court of law was required ... he was innocent before he even went to court.

    What happened was the prosecution failed to prove he was guilty in court. ;)


    ... and in the case vs Jordan Chandler, it was reported that about $20+ million was paid to avoid the matter going to court at all.

    When did ebay rules stop anyone from trying anything?
    There are still people selling fakes and dangerous items, just because there is a rule against it, does not mean it will not be sold - only if it is reported by anothe rmember, and even then there is no guarantee it will be pulled.

    Besides, most of those listings claim "in accordance with ebay policy, they will be washed to manufacturers standards before despatch".

    As believable as "my cat/dog/3 year old bid on it" line.
