my upvc front door keeps sticking when i shut it, its like its a bit low and rubbing against the bottom. anyone know how to raise it up slightly? also when i double lock it, i usually have to keep pulling the handle up a few times before the key will turn. could this be part of the same prob or somethin else?

The hinges are usually adjustable, but they are all different. You need to look carefully before you adjust. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Hi, before you start adjusting the hinges you should ensure you're door is glazed correctly. Have a read at this, it's fairly easy to do yourself, but most D/G repair guys will do it for the price of a call out. Finally, yeah the trouble you're having with the lock is connected to the door needing adjusted, you should do it before you damage the lock, they're not cheap to replace.

thanks for the info, however the door is only glazed right at the top. i've noticed some allen key bolts by the 3 hinges when i open the door are these for adjustment?0

Thats what I use when I adjust my front door-I turn each one a couple of turns at a time then test to see if door is right (need to turn each one the same amount I think-so say 2 turns each then test etc)0

My door is the same but only in the hot weather. Do not adjust and then find the door shrinks a little in the colder months leaving a gap.Middlers0

Oh mine is like it all year round, reckon it was badly fitted, but adjusting it once a year or so seems to do the trick
