I am urgently looking for the best rate on a 1 year fixed term bond.
The one I was looking at with the Anglo Irish bank at 4.05% has just been withdrawn.
Can anyone suggest anything similar,please?
The amount I have to invest is £10,000. I am looking for 100% capital security and guaranteed returns.

There are still a few at 3.75% (mostly from the crocks being 'saved' by Nationwide..) http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/money/savings/1/short-term-fixed-rate-bonds.aspx
To put things in perspective, 0.3% less gets you £30 less interest over the year (£24 if you pay basic-rate tax, £18 if higher-rate).0 -
