PPI refund question

Hi
after complaining about the ppi on the loan and complaining to the obudsmen it went our way (YAY) but now egg dont seem to want to pay. They had until today July 10th to contact us, but they didn't, so we called them but they said they haven't got to our complaint yet and couldn't say when they would. Is there anything we can do apart from call them everyday and write them?

Hi There you could contact the Ombudsman again and they may contact them on your behalf. Otherwise it is just a case of waiting. It can take qute a while.

Good luck with this.
However, I just realised isn't it the 8th today? Or did you actually mean the 8th?;)

If you did mean the 10th which is Friday and nothing is heard by then, contact the FOS again, and ask them what happens now, because I'm sure they are given a deadline with this.

With one of mine that was resolved through the FOS, the business was taking time to pay out, so I asked the one who was dealing with the case, if we could send a Letter Before Action known as a LBA (Sorry I do not have this now), but I had to send a copy to the FOS for them to agree and give the go ahead, we gave them 14 days, to what I can recall they paid out a few days before.

If I find that letter I shall post it to you, but despite that, see what happens Friday, then speak to the FOS about this, good luck.;)
